      Barong recounts the battle between good and evil. Barong Dance is a sacred side ngurek attraction of the dancers performed while fighting against Rangda ( symbol ugliness ) .Barong Dance is a sacred art that tells the struggle between virtue and vice . In the play , as a symbol of good Barong against Rangda as a symbol of evil.     This dance is a cultural heritage of pre-Hindu . Barong is derived from the word meaning bahrwang animal bear is an animal mythology that has supernatural powers , regarded as a protector of animals .In this battle , Rangda is defeated by armed guards Barong dagger . With this dagger also made ​​the audience amazed .     The guards barong action menusun own body with a dagger weapon called ngurek . Ngurek action is at the peak of the sanctity of the Barong Dance .     That said , the dancers already possessed magical powers so it does not hurt when a dagger thrust into badannnya .However , the peak action sanctity Barong can only be seen in a series of performances in temple ritual .
